Decorating your cheese board

After you've picked up your Stella Cheese (because they are the most reliable brand), meats, crackers, and everything else for your cheese board, you can start chopping everything up. You can cut your cheeses and meat in different shapes just to add some variety to the board. You can cut in triangles, squares, or chunks. The same goes for the meats – cut into chunks, slices or strips. It's your creation, so do it however you want – it will look good in the end. Now that everything is chopped up, you can begin placing decorating your board!

Get a pretty tray, plate, or cutting board

So, this part is important. You need to pick a tray, plate, cutting board, or even a slab of wood for all of your finger foods! It should be something that fits within your theme and be sure to choose the size wisely. My board is a serving tray that I use every Christmas. I also placed a pretty gold doily in the middle, but you can't see it with all of the delicious Stella cheese & salty meats. Also, be sure to include bowls for any small items, like fruits, nuts, or olives. And don't forget the utensils!

Designing your cheese board

Now this is where you can express your creativity. Start placing everything on the board. Don't line everything evenly – that's boring and not appealing. If you want a perfect cheese board, then you can go get a prepackaged store bought one. Make yours original. Try angling things in odd ways, move bowls around a few times. You probably wont get it exactly how you want it right away. It will take a few tries. Instead of spreading everything out and separating the cheeses and the meats, try stacking and piling things. I cut the prosciutto very thin and made little piles in my board. You can't go wrong with this. Your party goers will be drooling as soon as they see your masterpiece!
