Nothing brings a family together like quality time. Whether you’re enjoying a nice meal, at a local event, or playing games together, you’re building bonds and relationships that are irreplaceable. I am one that believes a little competition between loved ones is a good thing. There’s nostalgia that comes along with family game nights because that’s what my grandmother and I have always done together. Since I have those very fond memories, I want everyone to experience the fun. That’s why a lot of my gifts include a game or two that families can play together.
I recently discovered Marbles The Brain Store and well, I was intrigued by the sophistication, fun, and strategy that their games involved. After browsing through their incredible variety of games, I just knew that this was a company that I wanted to get to know. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone. You’re never too old or young for something fun! I ended up settling on a game that I knew would be fun for a group of people. I like to laugh, so I chose something that would build up a bit of intensity. The game I chose was… Drum roll please….
Oh Snap! is such a fun game. It can be 2-6 players, so feel free to invite the entire family to join. The goal of the game is to get the most points. Going about that is a little bit tricky. You have to pull pieces out of the game board without moving the bar. The larger pieces are worth more points, so if you can pull those up without moving the bar then good for you. If that darn spring loaded bar moves at all, you don’t get the points for that piece. We love this game because it’s really intense. If you even touch a piece, you have to remove it. You can’t test the pieces to find a loose one. You basically just take a chance and hope that you’re lucky! This is one of those games that is more fun with more people. It’s made well. The instructions are clear and easy-to-follow. It also reaches a wide audience!
I recommend the OH Snap! game from Marbles The Brain Store for the entire family. Pick up this game, some snacks, and maybe a movie as a Family Fun Night gift set this Christmas!
