The Lion Blu-ray is coming soon: Is it worth adding to your collection? #LionMovie #LionBluray

The Lion Blu-ray will be available to purchase in a couple of days, but is it really worth adding to your collection? I'll be giving a quick Lion movie review and talking about the Lion Blu-ray bonus features.

As soon as I heard about the story of Lion, I was hooked. I didn't read the book, but my fiancé gave me a quick description of what the film was and told me that it was a true story. That was enough to reel me in. We set a goal for ourselves to see every movie in theaters this year that peaked our interest, so Lion was definitely theater worthy.

The film and story is absolutely remarkable. A young boy gets lost on a train and ends up thousands of miles away. Sadly, the child doesn't make his way back home. He travels from country to country and eventually is adopted into an Australian family. Since he was lost at 5 years old, he didn't exactly know his way back home, but that doesn't stop him. As an adult, Saroo continues to search for his home – and eventually, he finds it. This astonishing story will have you in tears. You'll feel fear, joy, pain, and loss.

Dev Patel really showcases his acting skills as he plays the role of adult Saroo. However, it Sunny Pawar that will win your heart. He brilliantly plays the role of 5-year old Saroo and he captures every anguishing detail as he survives in dangerous and terrifying circumstances. This is one of the best movies you'll ever see and I promise that you'll want to own it so you can watch it over and over again.

I always find that the best movies are based on books. I mean, it must be a great story to be made into a movie, right? Okay, the books are usually better but it's so much fun to give it the benefit of the doubt. Some movies can really surprise you, like The BFG and The Hunger Games. It's a new year and that means lots of new movies to watch and books to read. Here's a list of books to read before you watch the movie.
