I just finished watching one of the most inspiring, honest documentaries I’ve ever seen. Life, Animated is about a boy with autism that couldn’t speak, but found a way to communicate through animated Disney films.
I had the pleasure of watching a couple of episodes of the new Netflix series, Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh. After watching DreamWorks movie Home a few too many times, I was ecstatic to be invited on a press trip to get a sneak peek of the show and to chat with the stars! If you liked the movie, you will love the show! It’s the craziest, silliest, funniest show that you’ll ever see.
I sat at my work desk one afternoon, set up my tablet, and decided t watch Netflix. I thought that I could just watch Fuller House while I worked. That’s usually what I do with sitcoms. Little did I know that it would be so good and so distracting that I would sit at my work desk for 2 hours, binge watching it. It was the fun, sarcastic humor that initially grabbed my attention. But it was the adult topics that I, as a woman, can relate to that kept my attention.
Music. It’s what makes me thrive. Music feeds my mind, body, and soul in a way that nothing else can. The only thing that comes close is television and movies, hence why I’m an entertainment blogger and why I have a Bachelor’s degree in music production – it’s kinda my thing. Literally, as I speak, I have the TV paused while I listen to a new track. It’s my life. That’s why I lost my mind when I found about HBO’s new series that was all about sex, drugs, and rock & roll!
The time as finally come, folks! Finding Dory is in theaters everywhere as of today. I’ve been waiting for this day since Finding Dory was just a rumor. I had the incredible opportunity to attend an advanced screening on Tuesday and boy, was it a good time! Our theater was filled with boys, girls, men, and women of all ages. I wasn’t surprised to see such a diverse audience, though. Finding Nemo stole the hearts of everyone, so I knew that Finding Dory would too.
When I heard Voltron described as a mix of Power Rangers and Transformers, I was intrigued. That sounds pretty epic, actually. I must say, the comparison to those two iconic shows is perfect, but Voltron: Legendary Defender is so much more than that. It’s exciting, relatable, and quite funny – but most of all – it’s binge-worthy and here’s why!
I absolutely love how crazy Alice movies are. They give life to anything and everything. It makes me giggle to think of the personalities they’ve given to “seconds” and “minutes”. It’s fun, silly, bold, and colorful. Alice will always be a classic and Through The Looking Glass will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time.
When I think of the original The Jungle Book, I think of a family-friendly, fun movie. It’s a movie that makes me laugh and sing. I’ve always loved Disney’s animated classics because I walk away from the movie feeling like a kid again. They make me forget about my worries and my strife (see what I did there). I didn’t know exactly what to expect with the new The Jungle Book film. I mean, a live-action version of a jungle of animals? How much of a connection could we possibly have to talking animals? Will it be too unrealistic? Or even worse, will it be too creepy? These thoughts wandered through my mind before seeing the movie, but overall I was super excited. With a stellar cast and one of my favorite Directors (Jon Favreau), I couldn’t help but to look forward to seeing my favorite childhood Classic on the big screen!
